“The robbed that smiles, steals something from the thief.”
William Shakespeare
I have a different view of wedding photography…
Personally, I believe it’s the photographers duty to document - not only at weddings, but in all aspects of life. You don’t hire a photographer to boss you around all day, ticking shots off the list.
It’s your day, and you’ve no doubt paid a good deal to plan it all - it’s you more than anyone who should get to kick back and enjoy yourselves with those you’ve invited!
Posing isn’t natural.
Think about it. Who’s going to see these photos? You are - and those closest to you.
Your nearest & dearest don’t see you as a stiff, posed figure in a suit or dress. They know you as the fun, relaxed people you really are - and that’s exactly what your wedding photos should resonate.
Instead, enjoy yourselves!
The only posed shots I’ll take, if any, are those you specifically ask for - and that’s no trouble at all!
I’ve learned to get all the family group shots done & dusted in no time flat, at which point it’s time to celebrate.
See what I mean?
